Community Transitions
The mission of the Boone County Community Transition Program is to facilitate the successful reintegration of offenders returning to the community.
Felons with a sentence of at least 2 years to the IN Department of Correction and who are residents of Indiana and have no holds or warrants meet the requirements of statute to be eligible for community transition.
The local Court must approve the offender for transitional release. The local court will ask for recommendations from the Boone County Prosecutor and the Community Transition Coordinator as to the offender’s appropriateness for the program.
Residents of Boone County will be given primary consideration.
Programs in Boone County for Community Transition include:
Some Fees for programming are covered by the Department of Correction.
Violation of conditions of community transition can result in immediate return to incarceration.
