Juvenile Probation

S.O.A.R. – Students On-task Achieving Responsibilities

The S.O.A.R program is an after-school homework program that meets in the Boone County Juvenile Probation Department conference room.  The program provides a structured and quiet environment for juveniles to complete homework, work on projects, and obtain educational assistance as needed.

Through the Juvenile Detention Alternatives Initiative, a tutor is also provided for any juvenile involved in the Boone County legal system.  The tutor is an Indiana certified and licensed Special Education Teacher who also works in the Lebanon Community Schools as a teacher.

Each day the juvenile attends the S.O.A.R or tutoring program; they are provided with a small snack after they have completed their work.  In addition, some project and school supplies are available to students who may need them. The program occurs Monday through Friday from 3 pm to 4 pm in the Boone County Juvenile Probation Department conference room.  The Juvenile Probation Department is located at 127 W. Main St Suite 200, Lebanon, IN, 46052.  The department may be entered through the back or south doors of the Key Bank Building and take the stairs to the second floor.  Participants shall NOT walk through the bank lobby when attending the S.O.A.R or Tutoring program.
