GPS Monitoring
GPS Monitoring is an electronic monitoring program through Community Corrections used to provide additional supervision of participants through a GPS bracelet worn on the ankle at all times. The bracelet monitors the participant’s location 24/7 and allows the participant to receive additional supervision without having to be placed in secure detention or jail. The program also includes monitoring through the Community Corrections Field staff and a 4th Amendment Waiver, which allows for home searches and collections of drug screens.
The level of monitoring ranges from Emergency Detention GPS where the participant is on lockdown in their home until they are able to complete an Initial Hearing to Standard GPS Monitoring, which allows the participant to attend school, counseling, and if approved and applicable, the DEB Center, work, and complete community service. The program includes a hook-up fee, administrative fee, and daily monitoring fee.
