Boone County Medical Reserve Corps

YOU CAN HELP BEFORE, DURING AND AFTER A DISASTER

The mission of the Boone County Medical Reserve Corps is to recruit, retain and train all medical and non-medical volunteers in order to create a healthy and effective response in the local community.

Who We Are

The Boone County Medical Reserve Corps is a growing unit in Indiana. The job of the public health community has expanded and now entails planning and responding to duties in the case of a bioterrorism or natural large-scale disease outbreak. This type of response can only be achieved with broad support and a cohesive public-private partnership.

What Volunteers Do

Volunteers are the vital component to this organization. With the volunteers, the BCMRC is  able to provide essential service to the community of Boone County. In recent years, volunteers have participated in immunization and flu clinics, the H1N1 campaign, the 2011 Point of Dispensing Exercise, in-house office tasks and various community events.
