Child Health
Children represent the future, and ensuring their healthy growth and development ought to be a prime concern of all societies. Newborns are particularly vulnerable and children are vulnerable to malnutrition and infectious diseases, many of which can be effectively prevented or treated.
Safe Sleep for infants
The Boone County Health Department has partnered with the Indiana State Department of Health to bring safe sleep environments to Indiana babies. We provide safe sleep education and Infant Survival Kits for parents and caregivers in Indiana who do not have a safe place for their infants to sleep, as well receive assistance attaining a crib.

Car Seat Safety
All children under 8 years old are required by law to ride in a vehicle while secured in either a child safety seat or a booster. The lone exception is if your child is too large to properly fit into either seat. In this case, your child must be secured with a safety belt.
