Marriage Licenses

To apply for a Marriage License in Boone County, both applicants must be a minimum of 18 years of age. Birth Certificates and/or valid drivers licenses with current address information must be presented at the time of application as proof of age and residency. You may also apply for your Marriage License on-line by going to http://courts.in.gov/marriage. Both applicants must appear in person to sign and obtain their marriage license.

The cost of the license is $29 for Boone County residents. You must apply for the license in the county you reside but you can get married anywhere in the State of Indiana.

If neither applicant resides in Indiana, they must apply for the Marriage License in the county they are to be married. The fee for this licence is $69.00 cash.

The license is good for 60 days from date of application.

Note: The State of Indiana is suggesting all drivers get secure or Real ID’s, as they will be required as of 2020. Read More
