The Y.E.S. Shoplifter’s Program is an educational program for juveniles designed as a means to assess current risk level, provide early intervention and help prevent further involvement in the criminal justice system.
The juvenile and parent are given a brochure with all the program-completion information. The program may be completed online or by mail via audio CDs and a workbook. Participants must register for the program within 7 days of being given the brochure. The cost of the program is $75 and is paid directly to the Y.E.S program. Once the participant completes the program, the risk results are sent to the assigned probation officer with suggestions for supervision level and any further intervention needed.
