The Boone County Health Department investigates public health complaints, including housing complaints. These inspections follow the requirements of the Boone County Housing and Environmental Ordinance, Ordinance No. 2004-16 Litter Control, as well as any applicable state codes. The goal of these inspections is to ensure that the property is in compliance with the above codes as well as provide education to the owners and/or occupants of the dwelling. This helps to improve the quality of life of the occupants as well as protects their health and safety.
