Jeff Edens is the Judge of the Boone County Circuit Court. Elected in 2012, Judge Edens first was appointed to the Circuit Court bench in 2010 by Governor Mitch E. Daniels, Jr. to replace newly appointed Indiana Supreme Court Justice Steve David. Prior to this appointment, Judge Edens was the Boone County Chief Deputy Prosecuting Attorney.
A 1976 graduate of Lebanon High School, Judge Edens comes from a family with a long tradition of public service to Boone County. His great grandfather, Isaac T. Davis, was elected Boone County Sheriff in 1882. His grandfather, John Huber, was elected Boone County Recorder in 1906.
Judge Edens’ dedication to serving the youth of our community began in 1987 when he became the Kiwanis Club advisor to the Lebanon High School Key Club. Later, he served as an advisor to the Indiana District Key Club Board. In 2003, Judge Edens served as the Indiana District Kiwanis Club Host Committee Chairman for the 60th Annual Key Club International Convention which was held in Indianapolis.
Judge Edens continues to serve the youth of our community as an Advisory Council Member of the S.C.O.R.E Mentoring Initiative and as Vice-President of the Boone County Child Advocacy Center.
A past president of the Boone County Chamber of Commerce, Judge Edens is active in the community as a member of the Witham Hospital Foundation Board, Secretary of the Lebanon Rotary Club and as a director of the Oak Hill Cemetery Association.
