If you are on probation you might be required to provide a urine sample for testing.
The Boone County Juvenile Court orders drug testing on adjudicated juvenile offenders.
The juvenile urinalysis procedure may include any or all of the following:
||Randomly selected sample juvenile probationers are tested either by a field officer or their probation officer or probation staff.|
||Drug testing on a single probationer or group of probationers suspected of being under the influence of alcohol or controlled substances.|
||At time of adjudication a base line drug test may be obtained.|
All samples are collected, chain of custody is established and are sent for analysis.
All drug screens are subject to direct observation.
A medical release which would include drug testing could be required prior to detention if alcohol or drug use is suspected.
All drug screens will be observed. There will be no exceptions.
You will have one (1) hour to produce urine when requested. The Probation Officer/Field Officer will give you two (2) observed opportunities only.
If you cannot produce a urine sample you may be offered hair/fingernail testing. The test is $80.00 and must be paid in advance before the test will be administered and must be within 24 hours of your failed attempt to produce a urine drug sample.
If you cannot comply with the above procedures, a refusal of drug testing will be filed. This may result in a hearing, removal from the program and/or incarceration.
