To apply for a Marriage License in Boone County, both applicants must be a minimum of 18 years of age. Birth Certificates or valid drivers licenses with current address information must be presented at the time of application as proof of age. All applicants must appear in person at the time of application.
If one of the applicants for the marriage license is a resident of Boone County, the fee is $20.00 cash. This will allow you to be married anywhere in the state of Indiana. Non-residents of Boone County must apply in their county of residence.
If both applicants are not Indiana residents, they must apply for the Marriage License in the county they are to be married. The fee for this licence is $62.00 cash. The license is good for 60 days from date of application.
The Boone County Clerk's Office will be happy to perform your marriage ceremony. All ceremonies MUST be scheduled at least two days in advance and can only be performed Tuesday through Thursday between the hours of 8:30 and 3:30.
